The Bundys Honor Dewayne Blackwell at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala 2017

As many of you know, last month, we had the honor of performing at the Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame dinner. We were asked to sing the 1950's hit, "Mr. Blue" as a tribute to 2017 Hall of Fame inductee, Dewayne Blackwell. "Mr. Blue" was written in 1959 and recorded by The Fleetwoods, eventually reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Dewayne Blackwell went on to write other country hits like "I'm Gonna Hire A Wino to Decorate Our Home" and Garth Brooks' "Friends In Low Places". Looking out into the audience and seeing some of Nashville's most renowned songwriters and singing alongside artists like Alan Jackson, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, and Dustin Lynch, was such a surreal experience for us. It was truly a night we will never forget.
